Range Adjustment for Senate and Non-Senate Faculty (Regular, In-Residence, and Adjunct series)  effective October 1, 2023

Campus APO has provided this instruction sheet on how to calculate the 10/1/23 range adjustments. For your convenience, we are also attaching this excel template to facilitate your calculations (if you find any discrepancies on the excel template, please notice the Divisional Analyst immediately).

Range Adjustment (RA) for New Faculty Hired During the 2023-2024 AY

New faculty (senate and non-senate whose salaries are based on Tables 1/1-L or 3) hired during the 2023-2024 academic year are eligible to receive the 10/1/23 range adjustment of 4.6% (unless the offer letter* stipulates that the annual salary is inclusive of the range adjustment). RAs apply to newly hired faculty with an effective date of: 7/1, 10/1, 11/1, 1/1, 3/1 and 4/1.

For faculty appointed on or after 10/1/23:

  1. If appointment has been approved/case is at the Dean’s Office queue, submit a revised cover page (reflecting the range adjusted annual salary) to your Divisional Analyst for submission to Campus APO.
  2. Once Campus APO directs the corrected approval form, it will be redirected to the department.
  3. Department can then update UCPath to reflect the correct range adjusted annual salary.

Recommendation:

Work with your departmental budget analyst/manager/staff member to confirm your range adjusted salary calculations, should this be needed.
