Key Points
- Effective January 1, 2023, employers are required:
- to disclose pay scales on all position postings and
- disclose pay scales to current employees upon request.
- These laws apply to all academic, faculty, and staff recruitments and positions.
- Can employers link to the salary range in an electronic posting or include a QR code in a paper posting that will take an applicant to the salary information?
No. The pay scale shall be included within the posting.

Pay Scale Language for Academic Searches
For All Regular Professor and Lecturer PSOE/SOE Searches, use the following:
